Curriculum:
READING- Experiencing a variety of genres through literature circle discussions and creating critical thinkers and habitual, passionate readers.
WRITING- Authors as mentors. Personal narrative writing, expository, informational, imaginative narrative, and persuasive.
MATH- Problem Solving, number sense, working on operations with decimals and fractions, geometry, statistics, deciphering word problems, and learning to explain mathematical thinking.
SCIENCE-Exploring scientific concepts and life sciences using inferences, experimental procedures, and data interpretation.
SOCIAL STUDIES- Colonial exploration, roots of the New World, American Revolution, Constitution, and Young Ameritowne.
