Remote Learning Information

for Westridge Families

Use this document as a guide to help you navigate through our online learning journey at home. We are all a team and will be working together to support our students as they continue to learn and grow remotely. At Westridge we believe all students can be successful each day. Westridge Elementary

  • Classrooms Please remember that we will work hard to create the most available and accessible virtual curriculum for your students. If anything is unclear for your student please contact your child’s teacher. Any email after 3pm will be responded to the next school day.

  • Westridge Library: There are directions on how to log into everything. This is the best place to go for all Virtual (Remote) Learning tools. Please use this page as a guide for tools such as Google Classroom and SeeSaw. Email Mrs. Reed with any tech related questions:

School Wide Must Do’s for Students:

  • Participate in learning! We want our students to continue to feel connected to our team and to their learning.

  • Kindergarten and First Grade families-please check your email daily for learning plans and see information below on how they will be taking attendance.

  • Attendance-Teachers will be taking online attendance through SeeSaw, Google Classroom, telephone communication. Please ensure that your child responds to their teacher’s attendance process no later than 12p.m.

  • Teachers will be available periodically throughout the day to answer emails. Any email after 3:30 pm will be responded to the next school day. This allows for teachers to plan and prepare for the next day of instruction.


  • Remote Learning Plans will be sent through a daily email from teachers.

  • Attendance: SeeSaw will be used each day to document attendance. Links to Seesaw and all directions will be provided for families within the listed below.

  • Online availability hours: Kindergarten teacher online availability hours: 9:00-3:00p.m.

1st Grade

  • Remote Learning Plans: Daily assignments will be sent as an email through SchoolMessenger.

  • Attendance: Students will need to fill out the attendance form on the 1st Grade website and login to SeeSaw daily (by 12 p.m. each day) for an attendance check-in.

  • Online availability hours: Parents can email or call with questions to first grade teachers between 9:00-3:00. First grade teachers can continue to check their email periodically beyond the online hours, but this is not expected.

2nd Grade

  • Remote Learning Plans: Opening of the day begins at 9

Teachers have sent homework packets to all students.

  • First/Second Grade GT will receive google slides with See Saw activities. Link sent through Messenger as well as sharing through Google.

  • Attendance: SeeSaw will be used each day.

  • Online availability hours: 2nd Grade Teacher online availability hours: 9:00-3:00.

3rd Grade

  • Remote Learning Plans:Third Grade will be using Google Classroom to communicate each day. Every day, students need to check in to the AT HOME LEARNING Google Classroom to get their daily discussion question. This discussion will be used for attendance each day. They will also be given their daily learning activities in this classroom.

  • Online availability hours: Students can ask questions to their teachers in Google Classroom between the hours between 9am and 3 pm.

4th Grade

  • Remote Learning Plans:Fourth Grade will be using Google Classroom to communicate with students each day.

  • Every day they should go to “Classwork” (at the top of the page) and open the “Daily Check In” for the day to answer a question for attendance. This is where they will find their assignments for the day:

  • Their participation in the check-in question and daily classwork will count as their attendance by 12p.m.

  • Attendance: The Google Classroom they will need to check is (they are already enrolled in this class and have used it at school

5th Grade

  • Remote Learning Plans:Fifth Grade will be using Google Classroom to communicate with students each day.

  • Screencastify embedded in slideshows will be posted inside of Google classroom

  • Students must check in at both their homeroom classroom & Community Classroom.

  • Attendance: Students will respond in Google Classroom.

Student attendance will be recorded daily by 12 p.m. (but we are flexible with internet and/or other issues; just let us know).

  • Communication: Students can email us with their gmail accounts if they have questions between 9am and 3 pm.

  • Online availability hours: Students can ask questions to their teachers in Google Classroom or via gmail between the hours between 9am and 3 pm.

Each provider will email families this week with specifics for special education support.

AMP (Art, Music, P.E.)

Remote Learning Plans: Remote learning tab on websites

Attendance: Check in with Grade level Google classrooms (3-5) - in rotations, what activities for each day; Seesaw (K-2)

Online availability hours: Teacher will be online from 9a.m.-3p.m.

New Jeffco K-12 Students

  1. Use the School Finder button to find your neighborhood school and/or other school options.
  2. Contact the school you are interested in attending to enroll.

Why EnrollJeffco?


EnrollJeffco is the digital replacement for the previous paper-based choice enrollment process. It has been expanded to capture all students to make school information easier for families to access, streamline processes, ensure the same timeline for all schools, and give schools more time to plan for the next school year.

Dates to Know:

  • EnrollJeffco login will be closed from Aug. 31-Dec. 9, 2019 (for K-12, preschool may use the system until Oct. 4)
  • Round 1 for the 2020-21 school year is Dec. 10, 2019 - Jan. 15, 2020.
  • Round 2 for the 2020-21 school year opens Jan. 21
  • Choice applications offers will go out late January
